The recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan turned into a public health emergency of international concern. As per WHO reports, the virus has spread to almost every country, infecting at least 5,939,234 and leading to the death of 3,67,255 as on 31st May 2020. It has crashed the economics, broken health care systems, filled hospitals and emptied public spaces. It has disrupted modern society on a scale that most living people have never witnessed. What no one knows yet is how the pandemic will end. This coronavirus is unprecendented in the combination of its transmissibility, a range of symptoms going from none at all to deadly and the extent to which it has disrupted the world.

Developing a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine is a global priority to end this pandemic. Researchers worldwide are working round the clock to find a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing the COVID-19 pandemic. However, previous attempts to develop vaccine against coronavirus diseases, SARS and MERS led to the gathering of considerable knowledge about the structure and function of coronavirus which accelerated rapid development. As a stakeholders in higher education and in particular as a Department of Biotechnology on 9-06-2020 with Resource person  Dr.Rajkumar Vutukuri Ph.D, PDF Department of Neurology and NeuroSurgery Frankfurt University,Germany. An overall 456 participants attended the session and we take it as a responsibility to disseminate knowledge of the progress of vaccine preparation against COVID-19.
